You are right about the superficiality of Voters. Saunders greatest asset is he’s a white male. The anger of having had a black president is intense. With the idea of a woman president close behind. White men are now a minority and they don’t like it. Saunders has the stereotypical look of his religion, as does Biden. But you know whom the electorate will go with in the white male department if not the orange man.
