Yes , And there are microbes that digest and thrive on Methane. As a gas methane is short-lived. Thus despite the enormous releases of methane from cavernous pockets in Siberia the upward trend of global methane in the atmosphere is not showing signs of increase. During a 20 yr period when global cattle numbers tripled, there was also no changes in global methane trend. Ours is a living planet. Modelers need to include biology, life, in their mechanistic scenarios.
