When Henry David Thoreau was getting old he was asked if he had made his peace with God. Thoreau replied he and God had no issues of conflict to resolved. Thoreau and his brother paddled and rowed down the Concord River.. Thoreau walked extensively after his brother died in the company of God. When asked if Thoresu was looking forward to the afterlife. Heck no, he replied, “I'm too busy doing God's work in this life. I'll think about that when I'm dead.”
