Unlike Yankee Nuclear that closed in Vermont, Connecticut chose to restore their twin nuclear plants. This made much sense as does building new nuclear on top of old nuclear since the site is already hazardous storing spent rods. Vermont, instead of reducing their carbon footprint, spewed more carbon in 2018 because gas fired utilities were fired up to replace lost nuclear power. Those Green Mountains are today less green.
