The operative term is single use plastic like what is littering our landscapes and shores Plastics should instead have sufficient thickness to be reused and not discarded When single use plastic bags were replaced by stronger multi use bags there was much less pollution and much more reuse of bags when shopping Your multiple use of plastics is commendable.
Perhaps there could be a way developed that gets bottles from single-use consumers into the hands of those who appreciate
