Eclipse: We went in three different directions and saw differently.
Tahnee and Jesse drove North from Syracuse, NY, beneath cloudy skies. They parked at Salmon River Falls by a steep cliff of shale and limestone where the waterfall plunges 110 feet, a raging torrent at the peak of spring thaw and April rains. The swirling cumulus clouds opened to reveal the sun in mid-eclipse.
Katie and Ryan grabbed the colander strainer from the kitchen and drove west to join friends in Lake Placid, New York.
Toni and Rob drove East in pursuit of blue skies. At Crane’s Beach, Ipswich, high cirrus clouds rolled in.
