Good cruises are in smaller boats, preferably under sail with all passengers working the sails. The problem is that big cruise lines pay governments a docking fee , so much per person. The merchants and island folk get all the grief. The cheap stuff is also sold on the ship. People are transported to attractions that give the cruise line a kick back and forget local attractions like lighthouses and pubs.
