All things do not regress to the mean when there is more intelligence AI should increase human intelligence, not just be more productive with less human work. GDP is not an indicator of quality of life (other than for the top 10%.) Global population is. At 10 billion people Africa will have caught up with the other continents. Think of it as brain cells, more humans networked. So wired, we all should have a quality of life like that enjoyed in Switzerland with about one tenth the consumerism and greed of Americans (who are resisting that prospect with cries of less people and no sharing). World peace with world prosperity. That will be something to shine brightly in the history books. We survived the dark ages and built a future with good food, comfortable shelter, and warm fellowship for every one, ie the good life.
